Writing Workshop: Complaint Drafting, Motion Practice, & Litigation Techniques

We are pleased to announce our Writing Workshop will be held next month Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. We invite and encourage law students, attorneys, lawyers, and practitioners from the Philadelphia or surrounding metropolitan area to register and attend this in-person Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board approved course program.
This Continuing Learning Education (CLE) program is a basic skills and ethics primer that will assist attorneys in three (3) subject matter areas: Complaints and Pleadings Drafting, Motion Practice, and Litigation Techniques. Attendees will learn from skilled and experienced practitioners who will review course material and provide instructional methods of best practices, and professional ethics for attorneys handling legal matters in the Pennsylvania courts. Both new and experienced attorneys will learn the basics of drafting complaints, motion practice, general litigation techniques to sharpen their motion skills and gain practical tips from experts. In this course, attendees will gain important practice skills and fundamental ethical principles. Course material will be distributed to registered attendees in an electronic format. You don’t want to miss this excellent CLE skills and ethics course!
The program kicks off with a welcome and a keynote address. The panel discussion will begin with the significance of transactional law work and why building rapport with colleagues and clients can help leverage business. We will then dive into the structural elements needed for drafting a complaint or pleading for filing with courts. The next topic will cover methods of best practices in writing and arguing significant pretrial motions. The panel discussion will follow a general overview of litigation techniques such as developing theory of the case and theme, and delivering the opening, rebuttal, and closing arguments.
Join us and register for our WLD course program as it will also include important trial practice updates. This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Board for two (2) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. All attendees will receive electronic copies of lecture and course material.
