Biography

Nikia is a Philadelphia native. She currently serves as an Attorney at the US Department of
Education, Office for Civil Rights.

Nikia is an active member of the legal community. In the fall of 2021, Nikia was elected to the
Philadelphia Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division executive board for a three-year term. She
is also an executive board member of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, serving as the
Recording Secretary for the organization. Nikia has been an active member of the Women
Lawyers Division-Philadelphia chapter serving on the executive committee since 2020-2021 bar
year in various capacities.
